Medical University of South Carolina – Drug Discovery and Bioengineering Buildings

Erickson Associates, Inc. was selected to perform the mechanical subcontract work for Drug Discovery and Bioengineering Buildings at the Medical University of South Carolina. The 220,000sqft research facility project consisted of two simultaneously constructed lab facilities and expansion of the existing energy plant. Four new chillers were installed, totaling 5,200 tons. The Drug Discovery Building includes an Animal Vivarium. Both Buildings contained lab space, lecture spaces, and faculty offices. The project was completed in 27 months.
